YV Subba Reddy Gives Full Clarity On Adulterated Ghee Controversy

Former TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy has advised the Telugu Desam government to put an end to the false propaganda regarding Tirumala laddu prasadam. He spoke to the media in New Delhi on Thursday. He said that false propaganda is often being spread about Tirumala prasadam. He advised them to know the facts and speak on this matter. He said that they have not done anything wrong in the case of Srivari laddu. He reminded that animal fat was used in the preparation of laddu prasadam. The SIT has not given any clarity on this matter so far. He questioned how adulteration can happen if there is a robust system in the matter of prasadam testing.
He said that four ghee tankers were rejected during his tenure. He wanted to know what was happening in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam for the past 15 years and then speak. He said that a ban was imposed on the use of plastic in Tirumala during his tenure. He reminded that both AP CM Chandrababu and TTD EO had made contradictory allegations in the laddu issue. He also reminded that the SIT had not given clarity on this. Subba Reddy criticized Chandrababu for spreading false propaganda against Srivari laddus. He questioned who CM Chandrababu was trying to smear. He said that all the laddus made from 2019-2024 were being spread falsely as if they were adulterated, and that they were hurting the sentiments of Srivari devotees by spreading false propaganda just for political gain.
The former chairman recalled the issue of depositing devotees’ gifts in private banks during the Chandrababu government. He also demanded an investigation into the ghee purchases made during the TDP tenure. He challenged him to tell how many adulterated ghee tankers were rejected during Chandrababu’s tenure from 2014 to 2024. He said that he had done nothing wrong and was ready for lie detector tests and truth-seeking tests. He said that he had not committed any corruption. He also wanted an investigation into TTD deposits in Yes Bank and Srinivasa Sethu. He said that Appanna was not his PA and that he had no connection with him. He explained that he worked for MP Vemireddy.
