Zomato launches daily payments for restaurant partners

New Delhi: Online food delivery platform Zomato on Wednesday introduced a new feature called “Daily Payments” to support emerging restaurant partners.

According to the company, currently this facility will be available for those restaurant partners who receive 100 or less orders in a month.

Zomato said in a blogpost, “Our discussions with various restaurant partners highlighted the financial challenges faced by small eateries using the traditional weekly payment system. This feature aims to address this critical need for more frequent access to earnings.” is designed for.”

Key features of Daily Payments include – No additional costs, better cash flow and flexibility in management.

‘No Additional Cost’ will allow you to switch from weekly to daily payments at no extra charge; ‘Better Cash Flow’ will let you settle transactions daily based on sales from the three days prior; And ‘Flexibility in Management’ will provide seamless switch between daily and weekly payments through Zomato restaurant partner app.

Interested restaurant partners can access the daily payout option through the Payouts section of the Zomato Restaurant Partner app.

Meanwhile, Zomato has increased its mandatory platform fee from Rs 3 per order to Rs 4 in key markets. The new rates became effective from January 1.

On New Year’s Eve, Zomato temporarily increased its platform fee to Rs 9 per order in some markets.
