10 goats died due to lightning

Bilaspur: 10 goats died after being struck by lightning during heavy rains last evening in Nyaydhani Bilaspur. The shepherd who was feeding them there narrowly saved his life by going to another place to avoid the rain.

Harishankar Kaushik, an 18-year-old farmer in village Chana Dongri of Takhatpur police station area, had gone to Khamharia Khar adjacent to the village to graze his goats yesterday. While returning in the evening, suddenly it started raining heavily. Harishankar Kaushik went to the agricultural farm of Sanat Mandal located nearby to avoid the rain. After the rain stopped, he came and saw that his goats were lying dead in the field.

Harishankar Kaushik informed about this at Takhatpur police station. According to him, along with the rain, the clouds were thundering and the lightning was also shining. To escape from which he had gone to the building of the agricultural farm. After the rain stopped, when he came and saw, ten goats had died after coming under the grip of gaz. If the farmer lived with the goats, he too could have come under the grip of lightning.
