11th student fell in Anicut, accident happened while taking selfie
Jashpur. A Class 11 student drowned in the Mand river located in Kilkila under Pathalgaon police station area of the district on Sunday. The search is on for the minor in the river. Pathalgaon police is searching for the child with the help of villagers. According to the information, the minor Rishabh Verma, a resident of Pathalgaon Palidih, along with his other companions had gone to visit the Lord at the Kilkila temple and visit the nearby Anicut in the Mand river. While all of them were taking selfie photos, Rishabh fell into the water due to slipping and was swept away by the strong currents of the river.
The friends who went for a walk together informed the family members about the student being swept away in the river. When the student was not found for a long time, people informed the Pathalgaon police. The police, who reached the information, with the help of the villagers, kept searching for the student, but till the time of writing the news, the student could not be traced. The fellow who went with the student is studying in 11th class in Jogpal Public School. The police said that the diving team of the district has been called soon after informing, as soon as it arrives, its investigation will be done on a war footing.
