124.89 lakh metric tonnes of paddy purchased so far in the state
Raipur. In Chhattisgarh, the paddy procurement campaign is going on continuously from November 1, 2023 under the Kharif marketing year 2023-24. This year, as per Modi’s guarantee, the state government is purchasing paddy from farmers at the rate of 21 quintals per acre. So far, the state government has purchased 124.89 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from farmers at support price. In lieu of paddy, an amount of more than Rs 26482 crore has been paid to the farmers through the bank.
According to the information received from the General Manager of Markfed, till now 124 lakh 89 thousand 623 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 22 lakh 65 thousand 864 farmers in the state at support price. In lieu of this, an amount of more than Rs 26 thousand 482 crore has been paid to the farmers through the bank. Along with paddy procurement, continuous lifting of paddy is going on for custom milling. So far, DO has been issued for the lifting of 98 lakh 38 thousand 565 metric tonnes of paddy. Against which 83 lakh 15 thousand 849 metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted by the millers.
