14 lakh intoxicating syrup seized, police arrested two members of inter state gang

Shakti. Police action against drug smuggling is going on. On Thursday, along with arresting two members of the Inter State gang, the police seized more than 8,000 intoxicant syrups from them. The cost of the seized syrup has been estimated at Rs 14.33 lakh. According to the police, these gangs are interstate, which smuggle drugs at the state level. Police is interrogating the arrested accused for information about the rest of the gang members.

Actually, this whole matter is related to Sakti police station area of Sakti district. Here the police arrested the accused with a large amount of intoxicating syrup. The name of the accused is Mohammad Tausif, who is a resident of Odisha. Driver Kailash Kumar Tiwari has also been arrested in the case. Both of them were loading intoxicating syrup from Banaras and bringing it to Champa in Chhattisgarh.

According to the police, information about the sale of intoxicating syrup was being received continuously in the area. Special police team of Sakti district was deployed to reach this gang. On which the team was engaged in the investigation for the last 15 days. On Thursday, the special police team had made complete preparations to nab this gang in front of Dadai village. As soon as a car full of intoxicating syrup arrived. The special police team standing ready laid siege and stopped the vehicle and searched it. In this, the police recovered 8 thousand 640 cc intoxicating syrup of 100 ml. Syrups named onerex and wincerex were found packed in cartoons. The police arrested the driver and the smuggler from the spot. Action is being taken against the accused under 20B NDPS Act.
