14 national mountaineers will hoist the tricolor at the highest point of Chhattisgarh on 6th September
Raipur: The team of National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) reached the capital Raipur on Tuesday as part of the Har Shikhar Tiranga (HST) Mission, a unique campaign to hoist the national flag at the highest point of every state of India.
The team is preparing to climb Gourlata Peak (1225 meters (highest point in Chhattisgarh) on September 6. The 14-member team involved in this difficult mission is led by Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal SM, Director NIMAS. Who holds the record of climbing Mount Everest three times and is also the recipient of several National Adventure Awards.
Chhattisgarh is being led by Dr. Namrata Singh, daughter of Bhilai. Who has traveled across India twice on his motorcycle, covering a distance of 80,000 kilometers. Additionally, she has conducted more than 200 seminars across India to make rural and urban women aware about breast and cervical cancer. The state government has expressed full support for this successful campaign of national importance.
