140 sacks of paddy seized at Khemda check post

Mahasamund. Under the direction of Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, continuous action is going on against illegal paddy storage, transportation and sale in the district. In this sequence, under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Bagbahara Umesh Kumar Sahu, Mandi Inspector has taken major action at Khemda check post.

Last night, in the presence of Mandi Inspector Sidar and Sajid Khan, 140 sacks of paddy were seized from Rajan Yadav, resident of Turboda, Nuapada (Odisha). 70-70 sacks of paddy were being transported by Rajan Yadav from his house to Khemda through two different vehicles. During the investigation, Rajan Yadav failed to produce valid documents related to transportation, due to which this action was taken. The administration has a strict eye on illegal paddy trade in the district, and such action will continue in future as well.
