18 people injured when DTC bus collides with a pole
New Delhi: Eighteen people, including the driver and conductor, were injured after a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus rammed into a pole in west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden area on Thursday, police said.
Police said a police control room (PCR) call was received at Rajouri Garden police station at 11:40 am about an accident of a DTC bus and a police team reached the spot and found the vehicle hit a pillar on the roadside. Had collided.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, West, Vichitra Veer said, “So far 18 people have been reported injured in the accident. 15 have been admitted to ESIC Hospital, Basai Darapur, while three are undergoing treatment at DDU Hospital.” Brigade and PCR vans also reached the spot for help and evacuation.
He said that an FIR has been registered under applicable sections of the law and further, the crime team has been called to the spot for inspection. “The cause of the accident will be established based on the crime team report and mechanical inspection of the vehicle,” the DCP said.
