2 arrested with 17.66 grams of chitta on Bharmour NH
Tunuhatti. Police have recovered 17.66 grams of Chitta from two persons near Nainikhad on Pathankot-Bharmaur NH. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs Act and further investigation has been started.
On Wednesday midnight, the Anti Narcotics Task Force Kangra team, under the leadership of ASI Kartar Singh, had blocked a place called Anglot near Naini Khad. Based on secret information, when the team reached Varshalika and two persons were present there.
When he was interrogated, he became a little nervous. When he was searched, 17.66 grams of chitta was recovered from his possession. The accused were identified as Ashiq Ali (35), son of Ramzan, resident of village Naira Post Office, Ganed and Iqbal Mohammad (27), son of Yusuf, resident of village Shikari Post Office, Ganed, tehsil Churah district Chamba. The matter has been confirmed by DSP Dalhousie Hemant Thakur.
He said that the police have taken the accused into their custody and registered a case against them under the Narcotic Drugs Act at Chuwadi police station and started investigation.
