2 bookies arrested in Gudhiyari
Raipur. Two bookies have been caught in Gudhiyari. Gudhiyari police team conducted a raid behind Jhabak petrol pump under Gudhiyari police station and arrested bookie Awadhesh Gupta, father of late Kishori Gupta, who was running betting, and seized Rs 18,000 in cash and betting strips from his possession.
Along with this, bookie Bishun Sahu, father late Prem Lal Sahu, age 43, resident of Bajrang Nagar near Shitala Mandir was also arrested and cash amount of Rs 17500 and betting strips were seized from his possession. Crime serial no. 558/23, crime serial no. 559/23 were registered against the bookies in police station Gudhiyari under Section 6 Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act and action was taken against the accused.
