2 clever thieves caught near Ram Mandir, police made a big disclosure
Raipur. On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh, Raipur Police is running a special campaign under the Mukta Abhiyan against drug abuse and to stop other crimes like gambling, betting, criminals carrying knives and theft. In this connection, applicant Om Prakash Sahu, resident of Hirapur, near Ram Temple, Kabir Nagar Police Station, Raipur, CG, came to the police station and lodged a report that two unknown thieves snatched a Techno company mobile phone whose IMEI NO. is 355666688124980 and 355666688124998 worth about Rs. 8000/- while he was buying vegetables in the vegetable market, Mahoba Bazaar. On the report of the applicant, crime number 260/24 under sections 379,356 IPC was registered and investigation was taken up. With the help of CCTV footage and informers, the accused was identified as Ravi Nag, father Raju Nag, age 19 years, resident of Block No. 24, House No. 27 of Valmiki Nagar Police Station Kabir Nagar Raipur was caught.
On strict interrogation he admitted to committing the theft along with his brother Dayalu Nag father Raju Nag age 24 years resident of Block No. 9/29 Valmiki Nagar Kabir Nagar from whose possession the applicant’s mobile was recovered and the stolen mobile was a blue colour Techno company mobile whose IMEI NO. is 355666688124980 and 355666688124998 worth about Rs. 8000/- and four other mobiles. 02. A blue colour mobile of Vivo company, IMEI NO. -862445046040196, 862445046040188, priced around Rs. 15000/- 03. A white cream colour mobile of Redmi Note 8 whose IMEI NO is 866566046314616 and 866566046314624, priced around Rs. 10,000/- 04. Galaxy M02 whose IMEI NO is 358019545544221, 358647465544225, priced around Rs. 8000/- 05. A green colour mobile of Redmi company, priced around Rs. 7000/-. In this way, a total of 5 mobile phones worth around Rs. 40,000/- have been seized from both the accused. Other mobile phones were reported to have been stolen from other places of Amanaka police station. Investigation is being done about the mobile holders. Both the accused have been sent on judicial remand.
