2 notorious Naxalites surrender in Kondagaon
Kondagaon. Police got a big success, inspired by the rehabilitation policy of the government, 02 Naxalites of Mardapal police station area surrendered. Under the able guidance of Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, Jagdalpur Sundarraj P. (I.P.S.) and Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Bastar Range, Kanker Balaji Rao Somawar (I.P.S.) and Superintendent of Police Kondagaon Y. Akshay Kumar (I.P.S.). Under the effective strategy and supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ops) Satish Bhargava, anti-Naxal operations are being conducted continuously under this unit and from time to time, civic action programs are conducted by the security forces in Naxal affected villages. Information about the facilities and benefits provided under the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the government is being made known through banners/posts/pamphlets etc., as a result of which the Naxalites themselves have come forward and asked the Superintendent of Police to avail the benefits of the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the government. They are surrendering themselves to join the mainstream of society and earn a living.
In the same sequence, active Naxalite members of Mardapal area in the Superintendent of Police office, Kondagaon, today: 1. Former Bedma Jantana government member – Sonu alias Ghasia Kashyap, father Ramdhar, age 35 years, caste, Muria, resident of Handapal police station, Mardapal district, Kondagaon, 2. Former Jan Militia member – Ghina, father Samrath. Age 30 years, caste Rawat, resident of village Kudur, surrendered by Rautpara police station Mardapal district Kondagaon, who was immediately given incentive amount of Rs 25-25 thousand. Apart from this, correspondence has been sent to the senior office for providing other facilities under the rehabilitation policy of the government. During this, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ops) Satish Bhargava, Naxal cell in-charge Bhuneshwar Nag and police station in-charge Mardapal Raman Usendi and other officers/employees were present.
