2 youths were hanged upside down on suspicion of theft, video viral
Hyderabad: A shocking incident has come to light from Mancherial district of Telangana. On suspicion of theft, two youths, including a Dalit, were hanged upside down and beaten. The incident took place on Friday at Mandamari in Mancherial district, about 300 km from Hyderabad. The victims were not only tied upside down but a fire was lit under them and both were thrashed. The video of the torture surfaced on social media on Sunday.
Teja (19) and his Dalit friend Kiran (30), working at a sheep farm, were caught by the owner and his family members and tied upside down in a shed. A goat and some iron rods were stolen from the shed about 20 days ago. The owner Komurajula Ramulu and his family members were suspicious of Teja and his friend. Caught both of them and brought them to the shed and tied them upside down and beat them. He didn’t stop there, he lit a fire below to suffocate the smoke.
According to the police, Teja was working on Raju’s sheep farm. His mother works there as a sweeper. Police have started further investigation by registering a case against Raju and his family members under the SC, ST Act.
