20 Naxalites including 5 women surrendered
Sukma. 20 Naxalites including 5 women have surrendered before Sukma Police. All the Naxalites who surrendered were active in Jagargunda area of the district. Sukma police is running Pune Narkom campaign. The Naxalites have surrendered after being influenced by the Naxalism eradication policy of the Chhattisgarh government and the Pune Narkom campaign.
Fed up with the inhuman, baseless ideology of Naxalites and their exploitation, atrocities and discrimination by outside Naxalites and violence against local tribals, 20 Naxalites, including 5 women active in the banned Naxalite organization, surrendered on Saturday, December 9. All self-dedicated Naxalites will be provided financial assistance and other facilities under the “Chhattisgarh Naxalism Eradication Policy” of the Chhattisgarh Government. Surrendered Naxalites included SP Kiran Chavan, Sandeep Mittal Additional SP Sukma, Prabhat Kumar Additional Superintendent of Police Naxal Ops Sukma, Parmeshwar Tilakwar Sub Divisional Officer of Police, Uttam Pratap Singh Deputy Superintendent of Police Bastar Fighter, Inspector Uttam Singh Gawde in-charge of Naxal Cell in Naxal Operation Office Sukma. Surrendered without any weapons.
