22-year-old youth dies in head-on collision between two-wheelers in Siridao

Panjim: In a tragic incident on the old bridge at Siridao, 22-year-old Sanjana Sawant lost her life in a head-on collision between a two-wheeler and a motorcycle. His sister Akshata Sawant and other motorcyclist Omkar Aroskar were also seriously injured in the collision, who are currently undergoing treatment. The accident happened on Tuesday morning.

Akshata, a Class 12 commerce student who lives in Pilar, was going to school with Sanjana when the accident occurred. Sanjana collided with her two-wheeler due to fatigue on the old bridge of Siridao, due to which she suffered serious head injuries and died.

Akshata sitting behind Sanjana was also hit. Motorcyclist Omkar Aroskar, a Grade 12 arts student at the same school, was injured while riding from Pilar to Siridao to pick up a friend.

Both Akshata and Omkar are currently receiving medical treatment at GMC. On receiving information about the incident, Agasim police reached the spot and took action after filling the Panchnama. They are doing more research.
