27 lakh 61 thousand rupees were cheated from 16 youth in the name of getting a job, arrested along with male friend
Jagdalpur: In Bastar district, 16 youths were cheated of Rs 27 lakh 61 thousand in the name of getting jobs in the health department. It is being told that a former female contract employee of the Health Department has committed fraud along with another employee. After taking money from 16 people, fake appointment letters were also given for recruitment to the post of Lab Technician, Staff Nurse, Peon and Ward Boy. Now after the complaint, the police have arrested both the accused. The matter is of Jagdalpur City Kotwali area.
According to the information, Bholaram Kashyap, a resident of the district, had lodged a report of fraud against him. He told the police that he had met a woman named Kiran Kashyap in the month of October 2021. The woman had described herself as an employee of the health department. She had assured that she would get a job as a ward boy in the medical college of Dimrapal. But, it will cost Rs 1.5 lakh. Bholaram was impressed by his words and also gave Rs 1.5 lakh.
Apart from this, 15 other people from the same area also gave money to him to get the jobs of peon, lab technician and nurse. The woman had taken Rs 27 lakh 61 thousand from all 16 people. It was promised that the money would be returned if the work was not completed. Then, along with another employee of Dimrapal Medical College, Tikam Joshi, he conducted recruitment on different posts. A few days later, a fake appointment letter was made. Then everyone was given appointment letters for different posts. A few months ago, when they reached the hospital, they found out that they had been cheated.
There was no recruitment for any such posts in Dimarapal Medical College. Then when all the people asked the woman for money, she kept misleading her for several months. After which the matter was reported to the police a few months ago. Now the police has arrested both the accused. When the woman was interrogated, it was revealed that she was a contractual employee in the health department from 2016 to 2020. For some reason he was fired from his job. To earn money, he had planned to commit fraud with a health department employee.
