3 coaches of spare train derailed in Vijaypur

Three coaches of an additional train derailed at Vijaypur railway station this evening.

“Around 4:50 pm, an additional train without an engine, which was standing at Vijaypur railway station, deviated from its track and started running on the main railway track,” a railway spokesperson said.

He said that as a precautionary measure, the railway authorities immediately stopped the Vande Bharat train, which was going from Jammu to Kathua, at Vijaypur railway station from 4:50 pm to 5:30 pm.
“After getting track clearance from the railway authorities at around 5.30 pm, the Vande Bharat train left for Kathua,” the spokesperson said.
