3 including mother and two children died in road accident
Bijnor (IANS). Two children, including an auto rider, died in a collision with an unknown vehicle late on Monday night in Kotwali Dehat police station area of Bijnor district of UP. Whereas, three people including the woman’s husband were seriously injured.
According to the police, Rohit Saini, a resident of Mandi Dhanaura in Amroha district, along with other members of his family, was going to take medicines from Rishikesh AIIMS in Uttarakhand by riding in an auto. Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle hit the auto near Sikanderpur village under Kotwali Dehat police station.
Six people, including a woman, were seriously injured in the accident. All the injured were admitted to the district hospital Bijnor. Where doctors declared Meera Saini (32), Priya Saini (8) and Shivam (6) brought dead. Whereas, Rohit (32), Mahi (4) and Vikas (30) were referred to Higher Center Meerut in critical condition.
After the incident, the driver fled with the vehicle. Police said that the bodies were sent for postmortem.
Bijnor Dehat Superintendent of Police Ram Arj told on Tuesday that the incident took place on Monday late night. On the complaint of injured Rohit’s father Omkar, a case has been registered against the unknown driver. Police are trying to trace the unknown vehicle that fled from the cameras installed around the scene and the local people.
