3 lakh cash seized from Sumo vehicle, caught by police at check point
Rajnandgaon. During vehicle checking, Surgi police post seized Rs 3 lakh in cash at village Kumhalori check point. According to the police, under the instructions of SP Mohit Garg and under the guidance of ASP Rahul Dev Sharma and City Police Superintendent Pushpendra Nayak Rajnadgaon and under the leadership of outpost in-charge Inspector Kaushalesh Dewangan, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections under the outpost Surgi area, in order to conduct the election process peacefully, by installing MCP, suspicious persons and Vehicles are being checked continuously.In the same sequence, on March 20, during vehicle checking by installing MCP in village Kumhalori, when a white colored Sumo Gold vehicle was stopped and checked, the person sitting in the vehicle, Ketan Kumar Sahu, resident of Range Office, Rampur District Dhamtari, recovered Rs 3 lakh in cash. The amount was recovered, due to which valid documents could not be presented and action was taken by confiscating the recovered cash amount under Section 102 JAFOU.
