3 more criminals were deported from the district
Bilaspur: In an ongoing effort to ensure the peaceful conduct of elections, authorities are actively pursuing measures against individuals engaging in misconduct. Notably, during the recent enforcement of the Code of Conduct, actions were taken against a criminal in District Badar and two individuals placed under the National Security Act (NSA). The concerted drive to take action against wrongdoers is aimed at facilitating a tranquil electoral process.
Recently, within the framework of the Code of Conduct, Collector and District Magistrate Bilaspur, Avnish Sharan, acted on the recommendation of Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh. They apprehended habitual offenders in the district, namely Suhail Khan, also known as Mohammad Mustaqeem (22 years old), son of Mohammad Shahid, hailing from Khaparganj police station City Kotwali; Rahul Makhija (24 years old), son of Shankar Lal Makhija, from Shanti Nagar police station Sakri; and Sunil Kurre, also known as Tilli (33 years old), son of Punni Lal, residing in Dihpara, Ameri police station Sakri. These individuals have been relocated to District Badar for a period of six months. The police have submitted a report to the District Collector’s Office, outlining action against numerous other habitual offenders, which is currently in progress.
In compliance with an order dated 06/11/2023 issued in criminal cases governed by Section 3 and 5 of the Chhattisgarh State Security Act 1990, the Collector has decreed that individuals mentioned in the order are required to vacate District Bilaspur, as well as the neighboring revenue districts of Korba, Janjgir-Champa, Mungeli, and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Baloda Bazar district, for a duration of six months. Furthermore, while this order is in effect, they are prohibited from entering the boundaries of the aforementioned districts without obtaining prior statutory permission. All individuals concerned are mandated to promptly adhere to this directive, and non-compliance will result in legal actions taken against them.
