3 people died due to lightning fall

Kondagaon: Three members of the same family were injured due to lightning in Kondagaon district on Sunday afternoon during a sudden rains. The injured were immediately admitted to Farsgaon Hospital. The condition of the injured is now being reported out of danger. The incident is of village Kokodi in Makri area.

In the afternoon, there was a sudden rain in Kokodi village. At the same time, the celestial lightning fell on the Mahua tree located in front of the house of Kushal Netam. Due to lightning, Kailash Netam (18), Asmati Netam (42) and Krishna Netam (18), sitting in the room in front of the house, were injured.

The injured told that when the celestial lightning fell, the three were sitting in the room in front of the house. After lightning on the Mahua tree, they were all hit. Thankfully, he had gone inside the house from the courtyard shortly before lightning, otherwise the accident could have become even more serious.

After the incident, the locals also reached the spot and helped to take the injured to the hospital. There is an atmosphere of panic in the entire village due to this incident. The administration has appealed to the people to stay in a safe place during the rains and adopt measures to avoid celestial lightning.
