3 tourists, including Kazakh national, saved from drowning
Three tourists including a Kazakh national were rescued from drowning off Goa’s beaches during the weekend. At Ashwem beach, the two individuals, aged 20 years and 21 years, both residents of Himachal Pradesh, found themselves caught in a current while swimming in the water and were brought to safety. A 60-year-old Kazakhstan national was rescued off Benaulim beach, after he waded deep into the water, despite repeated warnings from lifesavers. At Baga beach, a 25-year-old man who was a part of the 12-member group from Karnataka, experienced a brain spasm, while he was in the water. At Baga beach, a resident of Mysore sustained a leg injury from broken glass scattered on the shore, prompting a lifesaver to provide immediate first-aid. “At Candolim beach, a man from Chennai suffered a deep gash and was administered first-aid,” said Drishti Marine.
