3 years imprisonment to the head teacher who committed a heinous crime
Raipur news. It is said that bad deeds have bad consequences. Head teacher Indraman Sahu (56 years), who was found guilty of doing obscene acts with school girls and talking dirty to them, has been punished for his bad deeds. About 6 years ago, while posted as the head teacher in the school of Gram Panchayat Sundarkera located in Abhanpur development block of Raipur district, Indraman Sahu was found guilty by the court in the case of committing the crime of sexual assault along with talking dirty with the intention of insulting the modesty of school girls. Additional Sessions Judge, Second Fast Track Special Judge (POCSO) Raipur has sentenced him to three years of rigorous imprisonment under section 354 along with a fine of one thousand rupees and three years of imprisonment and a fine of one thousand rupees under section 509.
It is noteworthy that Indraman Sahu, who tarnished the sacred relationship of Guru and disciple, was constantly talking dirty and doing obscene acts with school girls. He also used to scare and threaten the girls. When the girls informed their parents about this, the parents got angry and complained about it to the Panchayat Officer, and then a crime was registered against him on 29 September 2018 in Gobara Navapara police station under obscene act and molestation and POCSO Act. The police arrested him at the same time in the said case and sent him to jail. Later he was released on bail bond. The verdict of this case going on in the court was given on 18 August 2024, in which he was found guilty of committing the crime.
Considering the entire facts and circumstances and the crime committed by Indraman Sahu and its gravity, the Additional Sessions Judge has sentenced him to 3 years of rigorous imprisonment under Section 354 and Section 509 along with a fine of Rs. 1000 each under both the sections. If the fine amount is not paid, an order has been passed to give him one month of rigorous imprisonment separately under each section. The court has cancelled his earlier bail bond and sent him to Central Jail Raipur.
