30 lakh rupees were stolen from a bullion trader here

Durg: By breaking the lock of an abandoned house of a bullion trader in the district, unknown thieves have stolen cash, gold and silver jewelery worth about Rs 30 lakh. When this incident happened, the entire family had gone to a wedding ceremony. The victim has registered a case at Smriti Nagar outpost.

Smriti Nagar Police said that Anay Kumar Sangani (53 years), resident of Triveni Nagar, does jewelery business. He has filed a report that at 8 am on November 22, he had gone with his family to attend a marriage ceremony at the Roman Park near Shivnath River.

When he returned home at 11.50 am on 24th November, he saw that the main gate door was open and its lock was broken. When I went inside I saw that the locks of the doors and cupboards of other rooms were broken. All the stuff was scattered inside. Gold and silver jewelery and cash were missing from the house.
