4 accused absconding after committing deadly attack while firing arrested
On October 20, a written complaint was given by plaintiff Deepak Jaiswal, son of Vijay Jaiswal, resident of Chandreshwar Nagar, in Rishikesh police station, that he was going towards his home after buying vegetables from the market at night, when he sat in the back seat of a car parked near Chandrabhaga bridge. A person opened the glass and spat out without looking outside, which fell on him. When the said person interrupted, he abused the plaintiff and other people sitting in the car attacked him with hockey stick, iron rod and gun and with the intention of killing him, they fired pistol at him. When information was collected with the help of CCTV cameras, the incident revealed to be a white colored Volkswagen Polo car with registration number AS 01DB 1317 and information was received that the said car was going towards Srinagar Garhwal road. On which a team was immediately sent to Srinagar Garhwal road and four persons traveling in the said vehicle were arrested near 3 Section Tehri Garhwal. 02 hockey sticks and 01 stump used in the fight were recovered from them. All the accused study in Garhwal University, Srinagar and all were going from their home to Srinagar College.
