4 killed, 10 injured in truck-bus collision
Chitradurga: Four people traveling in a bus were killed and ten others injured in an accident near Gollahalli National Highway 150 in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district on Monday. According to the police, the accident occurred at 3 am when a bus belonging to the Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) collided with a truck. The bus was going from Raichur to Bengaluru.
Three people died on the spot and one died in the hospital. The injured are being treated at Chitradurga District Hospital and Hiriyur Government Hospital. The deceased were identified as Mabamma, 35, of Raichur, Ramesh, 40, and Parvatamma, 45, of Bengaluru. The fourth victim has not yet been identified. The collision was so severe that the bus was blown to pieces. After the incident, the driver of the truck fled from the spot. Police have not yet found out how the accident happened.
