4 lakh diamond seized by the police
Gariaband. Mainpur police has arrested two diamond smugglers. Two people were roaming around in the interest of selling diamonds near Dabnai Nala on the National Highway road. On the information of the informer, the special team and the Mainpur police arrested two smugglers. The police have recovered 54 pieces of diamonds from the accused. The cost of which has been estimated at around Rs 4 lakh.
According to the information, on the information of the informer, the Mainpur police got information about two youths wandering in search of a customer in the name of selling diamonds on the National Highway 130 C Mainpur-Gariaband main road. On which, under the direction of Gariaband Superintendent of Police Amit Tukaram Kamble and under the guidance of SDOP Police Mainpur Anuj Kumar Gupta, the team interrogated two youths roaming in suspicious condition near Dabnai Nala on Gariaband National Highway, 8 km from Mainpur.
On searching the youths, 54 pieces of precious diamonds were recovered from them. 30 pieces of diamonds were seized from the accused Syed Hussain Khan, RR Nagar, Bhawanipur, Vijayawada. On the other hand, 24 pieces of diamonds have been recovered from the second accused Kamal Khan, Dhawalpur, Gariaband. Both the accused had hidden the diamond in a pocket after making a paper bag.
