4 rescued workers from Odisha reach Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar witnessed the return of four rescued workers from Uttarakhand, who arrived at the airport on Friday, marking a significant update in the tunnel rescue incident. The State Labour and Employee’s State Insurance Department extended a warm welcome to them.Reports confirmed the safe return of these workers after the successful rescue operation in the Uttarkashi tunnel. Notably, four workers have arrived home, while one remains under observation at AIIMS Rishikesh. The latter is expected to return later, accompanied by his brother.Chairman of 5T (Transformational Initiatives), Nabin Odisha, engaged with the Collectors of Keonjhar and Ganjam on Friday to ensure coordinated assistance and utmost care for the victims.VK Pandian, Chairman of 5T, previously had a video call interaction with the five rescued Odia workers currently receiving medical care at AIIMS, Rishikesh. During the conversation, Pandian inquired about their health and discussed the facilities available at the hospital post their rescue from the Uttarkashi tunnel. He also inquired about their plans to return to Odisha.The Odisha Labour Minister, Sarada Prasad Nayak, participated in this interaction. Reports indicated that the Minister and a team were actively involved during the rescue operation in Uttarkashi tunnel.
