40 private schools found running without recognition in Mahendragarh

Haryana: Around 40 private schools were found operating without recognition in the district during a recent survey conducted by Block Education Officers (BEOs). The local office of the School Education Department has now started action against such schools.
“Some schools have been identified which have obtained recognition up to class VIII but they are admitting students for senior secondary classes also. Such students are being enrolled in the names of other recognized private schools to ensure their registration with the education board,” said a source.

Notably, the Progressive Private Schools Association (PPSA), a group of CBSE schools here in Narnaul city, had also recently filed a written complaint against two such schools being run without recognition in Narnaul and Nangal Chaudhary blocks, But no action has been taken yet. Against them.
“It is surprising that the authorities are not taking action against both the schools, despite the fact that we have given all the evidence in support of our complaint. Now, the authorities have told us that a school has got recognition, but the question is how was the school enrolling students when it did not have recognition?” said Anil Kaushik, president of PPSA.

Kaushik said that if the authorities did not take appropriate action against the schools, they would take legal recourse. “One of the schools being run in Narnaul is also taking students in its buses. As per the rules, accreditation is mandatory to obtain fitness certificate for school buses,” he claimed.
Narnaul BEO Ashok Kumar said that he has informed District Education Officer (DEO) Sunil Dutt about the matter. However, when contacted, he refused to give any details saying that he was out of the station.

Meanwhile, Narnaul District Elementary Education Officer Santosh Chauhan confirmed that around 40 private schools running without recognition have been identified.
The process of action has been started against these schools. We are also running a special campaign to make parents aware about such unrecognized schools so that they do not enroll their children in such schools.”
Notably, the DEO, citing the Punjab and Haryana court order, directed all BEOs of the district to ensure closure of all such schools in their area. They were asked to put up a notice in this regard (ban on enrolling any student) along with orders at their main gates so that everyone knows that these schools are not recognised.
