45 alive and 5 cattle found dead in truck, driver absconding

Kasdol: In preparation for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections, Kasdol Police established vehicle inspection checkpoints at various locations. During one of these checkpoints, the police received a tip from an informant about the transport of cattle from Balodabazar district through Kasdol, destined for a slaughterhouse.

In response to this information, the police took action by cordoning off National Highway 130B near Shitala Mata Temple. Upon the arrival of the police, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Subsequent inspection of the truck revealed the presence of 45 cattle, sadly, with two having already perished, likely due to a lack of water and fodder. Nevertheless, the police took custody of the remaining 43 cattle and relocated them to a nearby cow shelter. This incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Kasdol police station area.
