5 BSF jawans found infected with dengue
Durg. On Tuesday, 16 new cases of dengue have been reported in the district. After this the health department has issued an alert. 5 BSF jawans have come under the grip of dengue. Apart from this, 8 patients have been found in Sector-2, 3 and 6 of the township. Thus the number of dengue infected has increased to 42. After this Collector Pushpendra Meena took a meeting of officers. In this, he has given instructions to conduct mosquito eradication campaign on a large scale in all the bodies to deal with this problem.
Here, since July 21 till now, the highest number of dengue patients found in a day was on Tuesday. With these new patients, the total number of dengue patients found in the last 19 days has gone up to 42. Of these, 19 patients admitted in different hospitals have been discharged due to their recovery. 23 patients are still undergoing treatment. Among the patients found on Tuesday, 4 are residents of Sector 2, 2 patients are from Sector 4 and two patients are from Sector 6. Thus the highest number of dengue cases have been reported in the township. Apart from these, a new case came to the fore after the dengue patient found two days ago in Bajrang Para of Bhilai-3.
Sector 2’s road-3 still a hot spot Sector 2’s road number 3 is still a dengue hot spot. The efforts made by the local body to contain the infection have not proved to be very effective. Out of 4 new patients found in Sector 2, 3 patients are residents of Road 3 only. In the last 19 days, 19 dengue patients are residents of Sector 2. In the township, however, patients are being found in Sector 4 and 6 as well. Maximum patients have been found in Sector-2.
