5 children died due to drowning in the pond
Kaimur (Bihar): Five children of the same family died by drowning in Fakirana pond near Dhavpokhar village of Karamchat police station area of Kaimur district of Bihar on Monday afternoon. As soon as information about this incident was received, the villagers, wherever they were, ran towards the pond. The villagers gathered courage and entered the deep pond and took the five children out one by one. Seeing them, the women of the family started crying loudly. The villagers and family members took all the children to a private hospital in Kudra, where the doctor declared them dead. He came to the village with the dead bodies of all five children.
The deceased included three daughters of teacher Sushil Kumar, Anupriya Kumari (12 years), Anshu Priya (10 years), Madhu Priya (8 years), Apoorva Soni (6 years), daughter of teacher’s younger brother Amarendra Kumar, sister Aman Kumar (10 years). ) Son of Jokhu Ram of Dhankadha of Sasaram police station area is included.
On information from the villagers, Karamchat police station incharge Sunit Kumar Singh arrived. After doing Panchnama of the dead bodies, they were sent by vehicle to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The CO has sent Zone Nazir Vikas Kumar to Dhavpokhar village to investigate this incident, who is preparing its report. He said that this report will be submitted to the Disaster Management Department, on the basis of which the victims’ families will get assistance.
Villagers told that teacher Sushil’s sister Vibha Devi had gone to the fields to see the crops. The children saw him and followed him. The children started playing near the pond and Vibha i.e. the mother of deceased Aman was busy working in the field. He did not know that the children had come. Because his eyes did not fall on the children. The children were near the pond on the north side and Vibha was in the field on the south side.
Deepak Kumar, a youth from the village, had gone towards Fakirana Tal, 700 meters south of Dhavpokhar village, to defecate. His eyes fell on Ankit Kumar, the six-year-old son of teacher Sushil Kumar, who was crying while sitting on the banks of the pond. When Deepak asked him, he told that his sister had drowned in the pond, that is why he was crying. When Deepak raised an alarm, people working in the fields, villages and houses ran towards the pond. Then the villagers took the children out of the pond.
