Jabalpur: After being initially spotted on Monday, a 5-foot long cobra was seen again in a man’s cupboard in Jabalpur on Saturday.
Upon returning home on Monday evening, a man named Govind Baghel found an approximately 5-foot long cobra coiled on his bed. He was shocked and immediately ran away from the spot and sought help from nearby residents. However, by the time they returned, the snake had disappeared.
Govind lives alone and works in a bank. He continued his daily routine and often heard the hissing sound of the snake at night.
On Saturday, he saw the cobra again, this time inside a cupboard. After which he called snake expert Gajendra Dubey. According to Govind, the snake was in his room since Monday, but fortunately he was not injured by it.
After two hours of hard work, Dubey successfully caught the snake. According to Dubey, the snake had probably entered the house in search of prey, especially rats, as it often hunted at night.
The captured snake has been safely released into its natural habitat, where it will be kept under observation for successful reintroduction into the wild.
