5 youth of Mainpat were in Baghpat, released video and appealed for help
Raipur. Pahari Korwa youth working in sugarcane fields in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh have returned safely to Chhattisgarh. He had appealed to the Chhattisgarh government for help by making a video. Taking immediate cognizance of the video, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had given instructions to the district administration for the safe return of these youth. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Surguja district administration took immediate action to bring the Pahari Korwa youth safely to Chhattisgarh.
It is noteworthy that Surguja Collector Kundan Kumar immediately sent SDM Ravi Rahi to Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh for the safe return of the youth. Mr. Rahi contacted Baghpat district administration and returned to Surguja with these youth. All five youths belong to the protected tribal group Pahari Korwa. Pahari Korwa are a protected tribal group by the President. These youth are residents of Supalga, Parpatia, Chirga villages of Mainpat area of Surguja. These youth also released a video while returning from Baghpat. In this he told that everyone is doing well and is returning with the administrative team of Surguja. He also expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for taking suo motu cognizance of the video and taking immediate action and giving instructions to bring him to Chhattisgarh and providing immediate assistance.
