57 year old woman dies due to electric shock

Tiruvallur (ANI): A 57-year-old woman reportedly died of electrocution after coming in contact with an electric wire near Cholavaram area in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district. Police gave this information on Monday. Cholavaram police in Tamil Nadu said they have recovered the body. “We have started investigation,” Cholavaram police said in a statement. Police said the deceased, identified as Kanaga, came in contact with an electric wire hanging from a pole in Budhur village, resulting in her death on the spot. He said that after the incident, local people protested and blamed the officials for keeping the wires open in the area and demanded action against them. More details are awaited. (ANI)
