6 arrested: Student had committed suicide, family members said – made video of death

Kanker: Police have arrested 6 people in the suicide incident that took place on November 7 in Antagarh of the district. Khilesh Aarde alias Nikhil, a resident of Bheerawahi of Bhanupratappur, was a student of feeder trade in ITI Antagarh. 20 to 30 villagers entered the ITI hostel at 12 noon and beat him up due to love affair. After the incident the accused ran away from there. After some time, the student committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. Disclosing the entire matter, SDOP Amar Sidar said that Khilesh’s family members told in their statement that the door of Khilesh’s room was locked from inside.

After seeing the dead body from the window, he was taken out by breaking the door. A mobile phone was found on the spot, investigation of which revealed that he had made a video of his death. After investigation, it came to light that on the same day before Khilesh committed suicide, there was an altercation between Khilesh and a student studying in ITI. The information of which was given by the student to her brother Manish Gawde. After this, Manish in a fit of rage reached ITI Hostel Antagarh along with his friends Prafulla Gawde, Praveenkrishna Gawde, Mohan Gawde, Ashok Gawde, Prabhulal Gawde and beat up Khilesh outside the ITI hostel. Due to which the deceased became upset and committed suicide. Police have arrested 6 people including Manish Gawde in the case. A crime has been registered against all the accused under the sections of murder and action is being taken as per rules.
