6 gamblers arrested for gambling in Sanjay Market

Raigarh. In the afternoon, police station in-charge Kotwali Inspector Shanip Ratre received information from the informer about some persons playing gambling game called Kat Patti with 52-card cards in Sanjay Market. The police station in-charge immediately sent the staff along with Sub Inspector Dilip Kumar Behera for action.

Gambling in Sanjay Market platform by the Kotwali police team – (1) Arun Gupta father Mamanchand 53 years Pahad Mandir Road Surya Vihar Raigarh (2) Deepak Peshwani father Narayan Das 47 years Boirdadar Raigarh (3) Pankaj Agarwal father Phoolchand Agarwal age 40 Sal Pahar Mandir Road Raigarh (4) Ramesh Kumar Agarwal father Late Deep Chandra Agarwal 65 years resident Opposite Jutemill Gate Raigarh (5) Nitai Biswas father Ramayan Biswas age 55 years Jutemill Maharapara Raigarh (6) Muralidhar Sharma father Rampratap Sharma age 64 years Kotra Road Vikas No. Gali No. 1 Raigarh was caught and cash amount of Rs 16,800 and 52 playing cards were seized from his possession. Action has been taken against the accused under the Gambling Act in the police station. Assistant sub-inspector of police station D.K. Behera, constable Jagmohan Ogre, Sandeep Mishra, Uttam Sarathi, Vinod Sharma and Manoj Patnaik were involved in the gambling raid proceedings.
