6 year old boy dies in road accident
A 6-year-old boy died in a traffic accident when he and his father were crossing the Amritsar-Batala Road near Kathunangal on Saturday.
The police arrested the unknown driver who fled from the spot. Police said no arrests have been made yet.
Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Jayantipura, told the police that he works as a laborer and has three sons, one of whom is a girl. Dijo told that he and his younger son Veer Singh (6) had gone to Jaintipur to buy some items for the house. They saw the pie and went back home. Let us tell you that when he was crossing the main road, his son was walking ahead of him. Let us tell you that an unknown car driver hit his son, due to which he fell on the road. He suffered serious head injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The unknown driver of the vehicle (PB-18-X-6984) started running away from there. Police said that they have registered a case in this regard under sections 304-A and 279 of the IPC.
