7 gamblers arrested in Saraswati Nagar, were placing bets in front of Sai temple
Raipur: 7 gamblers have been arrested in Saraswati Nagar police station area. According to the information, the police team received information that some people were gambling by betting money in front of the Sai Temple located at Mahant Talab under Saraswati Nagar police station area. On which Additional Superintendent of Police West Jai Prakash Carpenter and City Superintendent of Police Azad Chowk Mayank Gurjar (B.P.S.) directed police station incharge Saraswati Nagar to arrest the gamblers red handed while gambling.
On which, under the direction of senior officers and the leadership of police station in-charge Saraswati Nagar, a raid action was taken by the team of Saraswati Nagar police station by going to the said place. During the raid, some persons were gambling at the said place by betting money in playing cards. On which the team members arrested a total of 07 gamblers and seized Rs 10,980/- in cash and playing cards from their possession and registered crime number 267/23 against the gamblers in Police Station Saraswati Nagar under section 3(2) of the Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act. It was registered and action was taken.
