7 people dead so far in candle factory fire
Pune. At least seven people were killed and several injured in a fire at a candle factory in Pimpri Chinchwad area of Maharashtra’s Pune district. Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh said that the fire brigade received information about a fire in a factory in Talawade at around 2.45 pm today. According to the police, there is a possibility of many people being trapped.
The factory produces sparkling candles, which are commonly used for birthday celebrations. Shekhar Singh said, “The fire has been completely extinguished but the cause of the fire is not yet known.”

Police officials said that among all the seven people who died, six were women. Meanwhile, all the injured people have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, officials said. According to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, the fire has been brought under control and at present they are investigating the cause of the fire.
After receiving information about the fire, several fire engines reached the spot, with the help of which the fire was brought under control. After the accident, a large number of police forces were also deployed here. People were immediately evacuated from the factory and the burnt people were also sent to the hospital for treatment. The number of women who died in the accident is high, the dead bodies are currently being identified.
