8 lakhs cheated from a woman in the name of repairing washing machine

Gurgaon (Haryana): A case of cheating a woman of Rs 8 lakh in the name of repairing a washing machine at the company’s service center in Manesar police station area has come to light. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and started investigation. In fact, Julie, a resident of Narwana Jind, said in her complaint to the police that her washing machine had broken down. To get it repaired, he found the online number of the service center of Whirlpool company. After the call, the official of the alleged company asked him to pay Rs 5. It is alleged that after making payment of Rs 5, the accused sent them a link. After which his phone was hacked and Rs 8 lakh was transferred from his bank account through three transactions. He told that this money has been transferred to the account of AU Small Bank. On this he complained to the police. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
