80 school students fall sick after consuming meal at school in Sambalpur of Odisha

Sambalpur: Around 80 school students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Gosala village of Sambalpur fell sick. The incident took place during late hours of last night after students complained of abdominal pain after consuming dinner.

The students showed symptoms of stomach infection, causing concerns about their health. Upon notifying the school principal about the situation, the Sambalpur District Medical Officer was immediately informed.

A team of medics reached the school for the treatment of students. post treatment, the students reported feeling better and were declared to be in stable state.

Preliminary tests revealed that the illness was likely caused by contaminated food or water. A thorough medical examination is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the infection.
