85 women entrepreneurs graduate from US Consulate’s AWE program
Hyderabad: It was a moment of excellence and pride for 85 women entrepreneurs as they successfully graduated from the Academia de Mujeres Empresarias program organized by the Consulate General of the United States of America in Hyderabad in collaboration with Instituto Kalinga de Información y Tecnologia, Incubadora . The graduates came from Telangana, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh and celebrated a valedictory function at KIIT-TBI, Bhubaneswar on Friday to celebrate the success of the AWE programme. Congratulating the graduates of the program, Consul General of the United States Jennifer Larson highlighted the untapped potential of women’s business leadership in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. “Just look at all of you (graduates) and it is proof that there is immense potential for women to make an impact on the formal economy in India”, she said and added that the Tirupati-based women’s university was also a part of the women’s university. The University of Andhra Pradesh in Visakhapatnam and St. Francis College in Hyderabad host AWE groups on their campus. L’AWE is a six-month program designed to provide women entrepreneurs with the strategic planning, marketing and financial management skills needed to formalize and grow their businesses. A total of 100 women leaders participated in the program, which combined classroom debates, tutorials, and innovative online learning platforms with local business leaders and US experts, as well as alumni of exchange programs supported by the US government. ,
