9 women lootera gang from West Bengal arrested in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate police on Friday arrested nine members of women lootera gang involved in stealing valuables from various shopping malls in Bhubaneswar.

The nine members of women lootera gang have been arrested by Nayapalli police. The women hailed from Hasipur village of West Bengal.

Report says, the members of the gang used to steal products like cosmetics and electronic gadgets in the shopping malls.

The gang looted valuables worth lakhs from the Reliance mall in Nayapalli area yesterday. Police nabbed the gang members when they again tried to loot in a similar way.

They used to steal articles and place it in their bags inside their clothes. The gang members targeted during festive season. After looting articles, they used to sell them at much lower rates in their village.

The Commissionerate police have seized cosmetic products worth lakhs. The gang is involved in loot in various parts of the country. They used to stay in hotels and commit their crimes.
