Sangareddy police busts drug gang, seizes Nordzepam
Sangareddy: Sangareddy police on Friday destroyed a drug manufacturing business in Kodakanchi village of Jinnaram mandal and seized 14 kg of norzepam worth Rs 70 lakh, besides arresting five people accused of manufacturing the banned drug. Following information given by the Telangana State Antinarcotics Office (TSNAB), Jinnah Ram’s police raided the drug manufacturing unit in Kodakanchi. The accused have been identified as Mohammed Yunus, resident of Muthangi, G Srinivas Goud of Gundlamachnoor, Kistamgari Nirmal Goud of Puttuguda, Pasupuleti Manikya Rao of Isnapur and Kistamgari Shivshankar Goud of Kodakanchi. The other two accused, Rahul Reddy of Beeramguda and C Srisailam Yadav of Gunlamchanuru, died while trying to escape. The seven accused had taken land on rent in the upscale Lingala Sumana to manufacture the shocking product. Superintendent of Police (Sangareddy), Chennuri Rupesh, said the accused had decided to manufacture the drug to earn easy money. Patancheru DSP Purushottam Reddy, Jinnaram Inspector M Venu Kumar and others were present.
