2 people will get eyesight
Bhilai. After the death of Mata Harbans Kaur Bhatia (75 years) of the Sikh community, resident of Durg Santrabari, two people will get eyesight by the Bhatia family by donating the eyes of the mother and will then be able to see the sights of nature.
Eye donation was completed with the consent of mother Harbans Kaur Bhatia’s son Amarjeet Singh Bhatia and Sukhwinder Singh Bhatia (Sonu), Raju Bhatia, daughter-in-law Jasvir Kaur, Harman Kaur, grandson Gurpreet Singh. Dr. Pushpendra Lahare, Dr. Vishal Ure, eye assistant Vivek Kasar of Shri Shankaracharya Medical College reached Santrabari residence and collected corneas late in the night.
Kulwant Bhatia, Raj Adhatiya, Ritesh Jain, Mangal Aggarwal, Prabhu Dayal Ujala, Rajesh Parakh of Navdrishti Foundation made arrangements for eye donation and helped in completing the eye donation. Kulwant Bhatia said that Mata Harbans Kaur’s eye donation will increase awareness about eye donation in the Sikh community and people will get relief from the life of blindness. Harman Dulai said that Mata ji had deep faith in religion, she used to go to Gurudwara daily to pay obeisance as long as she lived. And even while leaving, mother did a good deed, now through her eyes two families will get a new life.
Harbans Kaur’s son Amarjeet Singh said that today mother is not among us, the whole family is sad but the family is satisfied with the fact that two people will be able to see the world through mother’s eyes and now our mother’s life has become meaningful.
