BJP MLAs will meet in Bhopal on Monday to elect the new Chief Minister
Bhopal: The suspense over who will become the next chief minister of Madhya Pradesh is likely to end on Monday when 163 newly elected BJP MLAs will meet in the presence of central observers and choose their leader, a party functionary said.
In the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, BJP won 163 out of 230 seats, while Congress stood second with 66 seats.
On Friday, the party nominated Haryana minister Manohar Lal Khattar, OBC ‘morcha’ chief K Laxman and secretary Asha Lakra as central observers for the election of its legislature party leader in Madhya Pradesh. , ,
“The central observer will chair a meeting of party MLAs on Monday,” deputy BJP media cell chief Ashish Aggarwal told PTI on Saturday.
He said that once the calendar of the meeting is finalized, it will be shared with the media.
