Dispute over using mobile phone, brother shot sister
Saharanpur. A young girl was allegedly shot dead by her brother following an argument over the use of mobile phone in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district. Police gave this information on Monday. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abhimanyu Manglik said the incident took place on Sunday evening when Maskan (17) was looking at his mobile phone while his younger brother Aditya was using it in Sheikhpura village of Khadim. sending messages is prohibited
According to ASP, Maskan did not listen to his brother and when the fight escalated, Aditya took out a pistol from his pocket and shot Maskan in the head and ran away. He told that his mother Babita was in another room at the time of the incident. He said local residents took the victim to hospital where he was confirmed dead. Police said that a search operation has been launched to arrest the absconding accused.
The age of the defendant is about 20 years. Local people say that Maskan often talked to youth from other communities of the village and Aditya was worried about their relationship. ASP said that the police is investigating the incident from all aspects.
