IIT-JEE candidate beaten to death, suspects detained
Kota (Rajasthan): A 17-year-old IIT-JEE aspirant was killed in an attack in Indira Vihar area, police said on Tuesday. He said the fallen man was attacked with iron bars and chains by some youths, who were also training students, while he was at a post here on Monday night. He said that Satyaveer, a class 11 student, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he died. Police said that around 7 pm on Monday evening, a fight broke out between the students undergoing training. During the attack, Nayak, the student, took her to his residence where her condition deteriorated late in the night, following which she was immediately taken to the hospital where she died, he said. However, the reason behind the attack has not yet been ascertained from the investigation, he said. The DSP also said that some suspects have been arrested in the case and they are being interrogated.
